Pitot/Static System Inspection (FAR 91.411)
- Required
- for IFR operations in controlled airspace
- whenever the pitot static system is serviced
- whenever the transponder is tested or serviced
- Expires every 24 calendar months
- Must show compliance with FAR 43 appendix E & F

Transponder Inspection (FAR 91.215 and FAR 91.413)
- Required
- for all aircraft operating in or above class A, B, or C airspace
- for all aircraft operating within a Mode C veil
- for all aircraft operating above 10,000ft MSL
- for all aircraft operating within 30NM of an airport listed in part 91 appendix D
- Expires every 24 calendar months
- Must be conducted by a certificated repair station
- Must show compliance with appendix FAR 43 appendix E

ADS-B (FAR 91.217)
- included in transponder test
- Must derive pressure altitude from the same source as the transponder
- Must be turned off if the transponder is turned off (as directed by ATC)
